places: ruinsAscoreResting on the edge of Anauroch, Ascore is the ruins of what was once an ancient dwarven port city.
The port of Ascore was the most important trading city of Delzoun. Dwarves used to sail the inland sea, which existed before the fall of Netheril, in massive ships made of stone built there. The remains of some still lay there, buried in the sands.
The western entrance to the ruins is a stone archway. On either side of this arch are two impressive works of dwarven art, enormous, lifelike, granite carvings of guarding griffons, still intact after all the centuries.
When the adventurers passed through Ascore, they found that the Shadovar were there, performing excavations on something in the center of the city. The priestess Chalan was among them, and she captured Hakam by means of magic and a band of Shadovar soldiers, keeping him for the night. The others tried to rescue him, but were prevented from doing so by the many dangers of Ascore at night. Thankfully, Hakam was returned to them in the morning safely. -
